Original Scarce Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo Hans Schabschneider. SS-Hauptscharführer Hans Schabschneider earned the Ritterkreuz (Knight’s Cross) with the 4./ SS-Panzer-Artillerie-Regiment 2 “Das Reich” during Normandy. On the August 27th, 1944, he was in charge of the munitions of the 4th Battery, 2nd SS Artillery Regiment, Das Reich. When fighting started at Coutances he formed a company of mixed Army and Waffen SS men that had lost their units, committed them to an assault on the American line capturing 12 trucks and 120 American prisoners of war. Good Condition. Bit smaller then Postcardsize.
