Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Heinz “Esau” Ewald. Leutnant Heinz Ewald (01.09.1922 in Zoppot-Danzig † 14.03.2002 in Coburg) earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on November 30, 1944 with Jagdgeschwader 52 and the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on April 20, 1945 as Leutnant und Flugzeugführer in the 5. Staffel/ Jagdgeschwader 52.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
