Generalmajor Hermann von Oppeln-Bronikowski (02.01.1899 in Berlin † 19.09.1966 in Gaißach) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on January 1, 1943 as Oberst und Kommandeur of the Panzer-Regiment 204 of the 22. Panzer-Division; the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on August 7, 1943 with Panzer-Regiment 11, the Eichenlaub on July 28, 1944 as Oberst und Kommandeur of the Panzer-Regiment 22 of the 21. Panzer-Division and the Schwertern on April 17, 1945 as Generalmajor und Kommandeur of the 20. Panzer-Division.
