Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Johann Schwerdfeger. Oberleutnant Johann Schwerdfeger (24.11.1914 in Plein-Wittlich † 25.12.2015 in Plein) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on May 17, 1943 as Feldwebel und Zugführer in the 1. Kompanie/ Jäger-Regiment 228 and the Eichenlaub on May 14, 1944 as Oberfeldwebel und Zugführer in the 1. Kompanie/ Jäger-Regiment 228 of the 101. Jäger-Division.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
