Generaloberst Johannes Frießner (22 March 1892, Chemnitz † 26 June 1971, Gmain/Bavaria) was a highly decorated German officer who rose to the rank of Generaloberst during the Second World War. He held important commands on the Eastern Front and earned the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves for his leadership during critical battles in 1943–44.
