Original Wartime Signature on a Postcard of Johannes Schalk. Oberst Johannes Schalk (19.09.1903 † 09.11.1987) earned the Ritterkreuz on September 5, 1940 as Oberstleutnant und Kommodore of the III. Gruppe/ Zerstörergeschwader 26 “Horst Wessel”. Good condition. Interestingly, he earned the Ehrenpokal during the Second World War as first on August 21, 1940!
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
