Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Karl Gerlach. Hauptmann Karl Gerlach (05.08.1914 in Gladbeck † 19.03.1991 in Dorsten) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on May 3, 1945 as Oberleutnant und Chef of the 4. Kompanie/ Panzer-Regiment 35 of the 4. Panzer-Division.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
