Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Ludwig Gümbel. Oberst Ludwig Gümbel (07.11.1906 † 27.06.1994) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on November 29, 1944 as Oberst und Führer of the Divsionsgruppe 198 “Gümbel”.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
