Original Soldbuch of Obergefreiter Baldes, who served with the 5. Batterie & 10. Batterie/ Artillerie-Regiment 179, Feldgendarmerie-Ersatz-Kompanie 5, Feldgendarmerie-Trupp 590, 7. Batterie/ Artillerie-Regiment 292 and the 7. Batterie/ Artillerie-Regiment 147 of the 47. Volksgrenadier-Division. With the latter, he most certainly saw action on the Western front. Either end of July of begin of August 1944, he was wounded by Shrapnel, for this wound he was awarded the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz on August 18, 1944. Complete with photo.
