Original TOP award document set of Obergefreiter Liebetreu who served with one of the most famous units of Stalingrad! Obergefreiter Liebetreu served with the 6. Kompanie/ Infanterie-Regiment 577 of the 305. Infanterie-Division which was photographed during the fightings at Barrikady Gun Factory in October 1942 – I’ll attach some images (not included only for illustraton). Condition as seen.
The award document set includes the documents for the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse and Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen!
The award document for the Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen was signed on October 31, 1942 during the severe fightings and survived the pocket (perhaps send out before the encirclement). Document was signed by the regimental commander Brandt who was awarded the Ritterkreuz in Stalingrad but didn’t survive and was KIA in January 1943 in Stalingrad!
