Award documents include that of the Armelband “Afrika”, Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse (awarded in Africa!), Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz (awarded in Africa!), Sturmabzeichen (awarded in Africa! Signed by Hans-Günther Stotten (RK+EL!)), Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse (also awarded in Afrika). He also earned the Ital. Erinnerungsmedaille according to his Wehrpass.
