Wehrmacht Heer Infantry Leutnant Officer’s Field Tunic

Original WWII German Wehrmacht Heer field tunic featuring a distinctive dark green collar, white infantry branch-colour piping (Waffenfarbe) and a set of insignia reported to be original to the garment.

The tunic is constructed from field-grey wool and features six front closure buttons and four flat pockets with pointed flaps. The dark green collar provides an attractive early-style appearance, while the white piping is consistent with Heer infantry branch colour.

The tunic retains its breast eagle, collar tabs and shoulder straps, creating an appealing display piece for collectors of original German military uniforms from the Second World War.

The precise model designation and the originality of the individual insignia and their attachment have not been independently established. But it’s most likely a modified M41 with M36 Dark Green Collar.

An interesting addition to a Wehrmacht uniform collection or a suitable historical mannequin display.
