Original TOP Wehrpass of Hetzer (!) Crew member Gefreiter Heinz Heise, who served with the Panzerjäger-Sturmgeschütz-Kompanie 1183 (shortened to Panzerjäger-Kompanie 1183) after training in the Panzerjäger-Schule Mielau and fought with the Hetzer in the end months of the war! Most interestingly, he earned the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse in February 1945 and Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber in March 1945 both entries were signed by Leutnant Josef Dallmeier! Leutnant Josef Dallmeier earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuzes on March 28, 1945 as Commander of the Hetzer Kompanie! He was one of two Hetzer Knight’s Cross Holders! Awarded for distinguishing himself as the commander of a Hetzer Kompanie during February 1945, as detailed in the following chronology…
10.02.1945: Dallmeier’s Kompanie supports attack on Thomaswaldau during the evening, destroying 6 enemy tanks in the process.
13.02.1945: Dallmeier’s Kompanie supports the breakthrough of Erpenbeck’s Bataillon from Birkenbrück to Paritz.
17.02.1945: Soviets thrown out of Siegersdorf with the help of Dallmeier’s Hetzers.
20.02.1945: Dallmeier supports recapture of Hennersdorf-Ost.
21.02.1945: Dallmeier supports capture of Kol.Hennersdorf.
Another notable action was when 14 enemy tanks thrusted from Wünschendorf towards the south. The two Hetzers of Dallmeier’s Kompanie destroyed 7 tanks out of this attacking force. Dallmeier would go on to distinguish himself during the recapture of Hennersdorf and the destruction of Soviet tanks in the graveyard north of Lauban.
