Original German Wound Badge in Black (Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz), double maker marked with “L/56” and “116” beneath the pin.

Both markings are attributed to Funke & Brünninghaus, Lüdenscheid, with L/56 being the firm’s LDO code and 116 its manufacturer number.

The combination of both markings on a single Wound Badge represents a rare and highly desirable manufacturer variation. Examples with the double marking are specifically described by specialist dealers as rare.

The badge is offered in condition as shown, with the original period construction and both maker markings clearly present.
