Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse 1939 mit Schwertern – Mounted (Einzelspange)

An original Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse 1939 mit Schwertern (War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords), complete with its Einzelspange (single ribbon bar).

The decoration features the characteristic four-armed cross with textured surfaces, a gilt-coloured finish and a central roundel bearing the date 1939 on the obverse and the swastika on the reverse.

The award is accompanied by its black, white and red ribbon, folded and mounted as a single ribbon bar. The ribbon shows considerable age-related wear, fraying and material loss, as visible in the photographs.

An interesting original award for collectors of German Second World War decorations, particularly those interested in ribbon-mounted examples and variations in period wear.

Condition: Please examine the photographs carefully for the precise condition of the cross, suspension ring, ribbon and Einzelspange.
