Original German Luftwaffe sports shirt eagle insignia from the Second World War, featuring the characteristic second-pattern Luftwaffe eagle with outstretched wings and swastika, woven in contrasting black and white.
The triangular cloth insignia was intended for wear on the front of the Luftwaffe sports shirt. The eagle design is machine-woven, with the white triangular backing and contrasting reverse construction visible in the photographs.
Condition: Shows age-related discolouration and staining to the white fabric, with fraying and loose threads along the edges. The insignia is no longer attached to a complete sports shirt. Please examine the photographs carefully for details of the fabric and construction.
