Original Soldbuch & Award document of Gefreiter Weinitschke, who during his service served with the Artillerie-Regiment 33 of the 15. Panzergrenadier-Division. Apparently, he must have been wounded in circa December 1944 as he was decorated with the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz in January 1945 however the hospitalpages don’t really tell more, he suffered from an ear problem.. Might be related? During his service, he earned the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse and the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz. Both earned for service on the Western Front! Prior to entering the military, he also earned the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse ohne Schwertern. Condition as seen. Complete with photo.

Original Soldbuch of Fahnenjunker-Unteroffizier d.R. Giebelhoff, who during his service served with the Infanterie-Regiment 2, Grenadier-Regiment Mielau 2, Divisions-Kampfschule 1542 and 3. Kompanie/ Grenadier-Regiment 1077 of the 542. Volksgrenadier-Division.  He was wounded in November 1941 when he was shot by an Infantry bullet in his left thigh and was again wounded in November-December 1944! During his service, he earned the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz and the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse. Comes with an interesting letter regarding the awarding of the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse! While serving the Infanterie-Regiment 2 in 1941-42, he was decorated with the EK2 for extraordinary service as a Melder in the Granatwerfer-Zug (mortar platoon). He also was equipped with the MP42! Original Award document of Obergefreiter Kurt Zander, who served with the Stab II./ Grenadier-Regiment 914 of the 352. Infanterie-Division, for the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse (Iron Cross 2nd Class) for his service on July 9, 1944, which was signed by Generalleutnant Dietrich Kraiss (Eichenlaub) (Killed on August 6, 1944!). Has been folded in the past.Condition as seen.

“The 352. Infanterie-Division was an infantry division of the German Army during World War II. Deployed on the Western Front, the division defended Omaha Beach on D-Day, 6 June 1944.”

Original TOP Wehrpass of Hetzer (!) Crew member Gefreiter Heinz Heise, who served with the Panzerjäger-Sturmgeschütz-Kompanie 1183 (shortened to Panzerjäger-Kompanie 1183) after training in the Panzerjäger-Schule Mielau and fought with the Hetzer in the end months of the war! Most interestingly, he earned the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse in February 1945 and Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber in March 1945 both entries were signed by Leutnant Josef Dallmeier! Leutnant Josef Dallmeier earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuzes on March 28, 1945 as Commander of the Hetzer Kompanie! Reason of awarding for the Knight’s Cross of Dallmeier and also why Gefreiter Heinze earned his awards!

Awarded for distinguishing himself as the commander of a Hetzer Kompanie during February 1945, as detailed in the following chronology…

10.02.1945: Dallmeier’s Kompanie supports attack on Thomaswaldau during the evening, destroying 6 enemy tanks in the process.
13.02.1945: Dallmeier’s Kompanie supports the breakthrough of Erpenbeck’s Bataillon from Birkenbrück to Paritz.
17.02.1945: Soviets thrown out of Siegersdorf with the help of Dallmeier’s Hetzers.
20.02.1945: Dallmeier supports recapture of Hennersdorf-Ost.
21.02.1945: Dallmeier supports capture of Kol.Hennersdorf.

Another notable action was when 14 enemy tanks thrusted from Wünschendorf towards the south. The two Hetzers of Dallmeier’s Kompanie destroyed 7 tanks out of this attacking force. Dallmeier would go on to distinguish himself during the recapture of Hennersdorf and the destruction of Soviet tanks in the graveyard north of Lauban.

Original Erkennungsmarke “7./J.R.115 A 72” which stands for 7. Kompanie/ Infanterie-Regiment 115, number 72 and bloodgroup A. Infanterie-Regiment 115 was soon renamed the Schützen-Regiment 115 and later Panzergrenadier-Regiment 115 and was subordniated to the 15. Panzer-Division later renamed to the 15. Panzergrenadier-Division. Condition as seen.

Original Wehrmacht (Luftwaffe) Führerschein (Driver’s License) of Oberleutnant Otto Rudolf of the Reserve-Flak-Abteilung 304. Complete with photo. According to the Luftwaffe Officer’s List of Larry Dezeng, Hauptmann Otto Rudolf may have commanded the III./ Fallschirm-Artillerie-Regiment 6 in 1945.

Original Wehrpass of a Stuka Pilot! Feldwebel Sabinsky served with the 9. Staffel/ Sturzkampfgeschwader 1 only for 1 month before he was Killed in Action on April 20, 1943! He was credited with 4 Feindflüge! During his service, he was awarded with the Flugzeugführerabzeichen (Nr. 87928).

According to his Wehrpass, in very detail, Feldwebel Sabinsky was Killed: “Beim Angriff auf Flakstellungen bei Gorbatoshewka erhielt den Flugzeug einen Volltreffer in Leitwerk, ging sofort ins Trudeln über und schlug am Boden auf.” Translated as : “During the attack on anti-aircraft positions near Gorbatoshevka, the aircraft received a direct hit in the tail unit, immediately went into a spin and hit the ground.”

Original Japanese Order of the Golden Kite 5th Class in its casing. The Order of the Golden Kite (金鵄勲章（きんしくんしょう) was an exclusively military award, abolished in 1947, conferred for bravery, leadership or command in battle. It ranked just below the Order of the Chrysanthemum in precedence and was the military equivalent of the Order of the Paulownia Flowers. The order consisted of seven classes. Enlisted rank soldiers were eligible for the 7th–5th classes, non-commissioned officers were eligible for the 6th–4th classes, junior officers for the 5th–3rd classes, field grade officers for the 4th–2nd classes and general officers for the 3rd-1st classes.

Original Yosegaki Hinomaru flag (“Good Luck Flag”) containing a lot of names. The owner of the flag was Mr. Mitsuo Kitajima.

The hinomaru yosegaki was traditionally presented to a man prior to his induction into the Japanese armed forces or before his deployment. The relatives, neighbors, friends, and co-workers of the person receiving the flag would write their names, good luck messages, exhortations, or other personal messages onto the flag in a formation resembling rays dissipating from the sun, though text was also written on any available space if the flag became crowded with messages.

For the military man stationed far away from home and loved ones, the hinomaru offered communal hopes and prayers to the owner every time the flag was unfolded. It was believed that the flag, with its many signatures and slogans, would provide a combined force or power to see its owner through tough times, as well as reminding the soldier of his duties in the war, with the implication that the performance of that duty meant that the warrior was not expected to return home from battle. Often, departing servicemen would leave behind clipped fingernails and hair, so that his relatives would have something of him in which to hold a funeral.
