Guards Sergeant Anatoly Ignatievich Usoltsev was born in 1910 in Altai Krai and served in the Red Army from 1942 until the end of the war. He fought on the Central Front and later the Belorussian Front, where he distinguished himself in combat.
The highlight of this research set is the detailed combat citation for his Order of the Red Star.
During the battle for the village of Lyashkovo, German forces launched a counterattack. Usoltsev moved his weapon forward into the infantry line, held fire until the enemy approached at close range, and then opened devastating fire. According to the official citation, he personally accounted for up to 11 German soldiers killed during this engagement.

The order was awarded to Major Fyodor Nikolayevich Zasyadko (Фёдор Николаевич Засядько) by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated 3 November 1944, for 25 years of distinguished military service.
Zasyadko was born on 8 February 1900 in Chepel village, Kharkov region, Ukrainian SSR. He entered Red Army service in April 1920, during the Russian Civil War, and belonged to the early generation of long-serving Soviet professional officers.
At the time of this award, he held the rank of Major, later reaching Lieutenant Colonel, and served in the Moscow Military District. He was attached to the prestigious 1st Gorky Tank School, where he served as a senior instructor / lecturer. Soviet WWII Order of the Red Star (Silver, Numbered #1544467, c.1945)
€135,00Authentic Soviet Order of the Red Star (Russian: «ОРДЕН КРАСНОЙ ЗВЕЗДЫ»), a distinguished military decoration awarded for personal bravery, leadership, and outstanding service to the armed forces of the USSR during the Second World War.
The order is crafted in silver and measures approximately 47–50 mm across, formed as a five-pointed star with deep red enamel. The obverse features a central oxidized silver shield depicting a standing Soviet soldier in greatcoat holding a rifle. Surrounding the shield is a narrow band bearing the Communist motto “WORKERS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!” («ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ!»), with the inscription “USSR” («СССР») at the base. Beneath the shield sits the hammer and sickle emblem, also in oxidized silver, completing the iconic composition.
The reverse is plain and fitted with a threaded screw-post and backing plate for secure wear. It bears the maker’s mark along with the engraved serial number.
