Major Josef Anton Heichele (15.10.1914 in Lauingen an der Donau † 08.11.2001 in Kempten im Allgäu) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on January 31, 1944 as Hauptmann und Führer of the Divisions-Füsilier-Bataillon (A.A.) 129 and the Eichenlaub on February 17, 1945 as Major und Kommandeur of the Füsilier-Bataillon 129 of the 129. Infanterie-Division.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
