During his service, he earned the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse, Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse, Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber, Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber, Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42 and the Panzervernichtungsabzeichen! He was Killed in Action on October 9, 1944. Condition as seen.
