Page 15: The first signature with the stamp “II./Pz.Gren.Rgt.11”is most likely that of Oberleutnant Fritz Jacoby (RK, KIA on March 19, 1943)!
Hospital entries: In June 1940, he suffered a Nervenzusammenbruch (mental breakdown) and was discharged to the Ersatztruppen on June 28, 1940. In May 1941, he suffered a shrapnel wound (code: 31b) and was discharged on June 4, 1941. In January 1942, he was found “Gesund und Marschfähig k.v.” - k.v. = kriegsverwendungsfähig) and send back to the field units. However, on May 29, 1942, he was hospitalized again at Hauptverbandsplatz 2/60 in Kursk for a Nervenzusammenbruch. Almost a year later, on March 4, 1943, he was treated at Feldlazarett 602 (mot.)for a shrapnel wound (31b) and send to Kriegslazarett 2/615and Reserve-Lazarett Brest am Bug, Teillazarett IVbecause he lost his left eye due shrapnel (Granatsplitter, Verlust linker Auges). He was discharged on March 31, 1943 and sent to the Panzergrenadier-Ersatz-Bataillon 10.Complete with photo. Nothing was denazified or censored. Condition as seen.

Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Heinrich Püttcher. Oberleutnant Heinrich Püttcher (01.04.1914 † 03.04.2003) earned the Ritterkreuz on April 14, 1945 as Leutnant und Führer of the 3. Kompanie/ Panzer-Pionier-Bataillon 86 of the 9. Panzer-Division. Good Condition.
During the withdrawal of the 9. Panzer-Division across the Rhine in late February 1945, the handful of battle ready elements of the Division were tasked with covering the retreat. One of these, formed on 25.02.1945, was led by Leutnant Püttcher. Despite only having two 8.8 cm Flak guns as heavy weapons, Püttcher and his small Kampfgruppe were able to hold their assigned sector Glesch—Sinsteden against all opposing attacks even though the Allies had broken through on the left and right. Even after they had been surrounded and had no radio contact with the higher commands, Leutnant Püttcher refused to surrender to the Allies. Acting on his own initiative, he broke through the ring of US troops, reached the Rhine river near the town of Leverkusen and was able to cross over to the eastern bank, even taking both Flak guns along with him.
