Major im Generalstab Hermann Schmidt (13.05.1915 in Braunetsried-Vohenstrauß † 01.07.2002 in München) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on June 28, 1943 as Hauptmann und Kommandeur of the IV. Abteilung/ Artillerie-Regiment 81 of the 97. Jäger-Division.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
