Hauptmann Fritz Steinbacher (14.07.1913 in Pellkauen † 29.03.1992) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on February 21, 1944 as Hauptmann und Führer of the I. Abteilung/ Artillerie-Regiment 172 of the 72. Infanterie-Division.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
