Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Siegfried Amerkamp. Obergefreiter / SS-Oberscharführer Siegfried Amerkamp (20.03.1920 in Nürnberg † 01.09.1995 in Mittelwald) earned the Ritterkreuz on November 22, 1943 as Obergefreiter und MG-Schütze & stellv. Gruppenführer1 in the Sturmkompanie/ Grenadier-Regiment 459 of the 251. Infanterie-Division. He later was transferred to the 17. SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Division "Götz von Berlichingen".
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.

SS-Panzergrenadier-Division "Götz von Berlichingen". Complete with a photo, wearing his VWA! He earned the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz on October 1, 1943 and the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern on December 15, 1944. He likely took part in most actions against the US Forces since 1944 until April of 45!

Complete with a photo. Late April or begin May 1945 he was wounded due an accident and was hospitalized on May 2, 1945 in a Hospital in Tegernsee. A day later, the US Forces captured Tegernsee! So likely he was made POW then.
