Original Postwar Signature on a Wartime Postcard of Rudolf Fuchs. Oberfeldwebel Rudolf Fuchs (27.04.1919 in Lindenhardt † 27.02.1998 in Lindenhardt) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on August 26, 1943 as Oberfeldwebel in the 2. Kompanie/Grenadier-Regiment 42 of the 46. Infanterie-Division.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Korbinian Viechter. Leutnant Korbinian Viechter (27.11.1914 † 12.02.2006) earned the Ritterkreuz on October 20, 1944 as Leutnant with the 4. Kompanie/ Grenadier-Regiment 42 of the 46. Infanterie-Division. Good condition.
Ritterkreuz: "In late September 1944 Viechter received the objective of blocking an important march route with a hastily assembled force, in order to buy time for his division to retreat. Despite the enormity of the task, which seemed at the time like a suicide mission, he was able to accomplish his mission without losing a single man. For this feat of arms he was awarded the Knight's Cross."
