Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Günther Krappe. Generalleutnant Günther Krappe (13.04.1893 in Schilde † 31.12.1981 in Altena) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzeson April 11, 1944 as Generalleutnant und Kommandeur of the 61. Infanterie-Division.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
Award document of Obergefreiten Erwin Lehmkuhl, who earned the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern (War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords) for his service on April 20, 1943. Signed by a Generalmajor Günther Krappe (Knight's Cross). The document likely was once (ready to be) framed, hence tape was added on the back to make it stronger.
