Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Helmut Schmischke. Hauptmann Helmut Schmischke (30.09.1915 in Wanne-Eickel † 18.06.1999 in Bad Soden) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on July 22, 1943 as Hauptmann und Kommandeur of the Pionier-Bataillon 36 of the 36. Infanterie-Division.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
