Rare dual language (German & Latvian) SS Soldbuch for a Latvian Volunteer, Legion-Unterscharführer Zviedris Arnolds who served with the SS-Artillerie-Regiment 19 and SS-Artillerie-Regiment 15 (lettische Nr. 1). Joined the 2. lettische SS-Freiwilligen-Brigade on February 21, 1944 and during his short service of almost 1 year, he was wounded twice (October 3, 1944 near the Kurzeme Line in Courland) and on February 27, 1945 during the fightings in Pomerania. He was also awarded the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse & Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz! He met his fate on February 27, 1945 when he was struck with a bullet, which eventually cause his death on March 20, 1945 as a result of his wounding.
