Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.

Oberst Alfred Druschel (04.02.1917 † Missing in Action 01.01.1945) earned the Ritterkreuz on August 21, 1941 as Oberleutnant und Staffelkapitän of the 2. Staffel/ Lehrgeschwader 2, the Eichenlaub on September 3, 1942 as Hauptmann und Kommandeur of the I. Gruppe/ Schlachtgeschwader 1 and the Schwertern on February 19, 1943 as Hauptmann und Kommandeur of the I. Gruppe/ Schlachtgeschwader 1. Good condition. Edges have been cut.
Eichenlaub: “Awarded for further individual and command achievements during operations at Kertsch, Sevastopol and the Caucasus. By this time he had flown over 600 sorties. A particularly notable success took place on the 12.06.1942 when he destroyed an ammunition train along the Kharkov-Kupyansk railway (about 60 km ESE of Kharkov itself).”

Ritterkreuz: "Awarded after flying over 200 sorties and achieving 7 aerial victories with his He-123. He also achieved a number of notable successes with his Staffel as a whole. On the 24.06.1941 he and his Staffel attacked a group of 30-40 enemy tanks south of Grodno that were attacking from Sokolka into the flank of German troops that were in turn attacking from Kuzniza. Druschel and his aircraft claimed to have destroyed 11 enemy tanks on this day, and managed to force the enemy to break off towards the south. Druschel’s Staffel would later achieve another notable success on the 06.07.1941. On this day they saved the Ulla bridgehead by smashing enemy forces around the Lohwsa train station and Gubiza."

Knight's Cross: "Awarded for his successes as a ground attack pilot. He was recognized for having flown 670 sorties in both the Mediterranean and on the Eastern front. He achieved particularly success against bridges, destroying about 30 important ones including the supply road bridge west of Smolensk, the Ukra bridge near Yukhnov and the Volga bridge near Rzhev. Fischer would also accomplish notable feats as a ground attack pilot from the fall of 1944 onwards, a time in which he earned the nickname “Blitz von Pommern” (Pomeranian Lightning). On one day he shot down 2 enemy fighters despite carrying a full payload, and then went on to destroy 4 tanks with rockets."
