Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Lothar Hofer. SS-Sturmbannführer Lothar Hofer (18.09.1914 in Rade † 22.01.1999 in Travemünde) earned the Ritterkreuz on April 5, 1945 as SS-Sturmbannführer und Major der Schutzpolizei und Kommandeur of the III. Abteilung/ SS-Artillerie-Regiment 54 of the 23. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzer-Grenadier-Division “Nederland”.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
