Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Werner Ehrig. Generalleutnant Werner Ehrig (22.04.1897 in Eibenstock † 31.01.1981 in Zell im Wiesental) earned the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on July 14, 1944 and the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzeson May 26, 1940 as Oberstleutnant im Generalstab und Ia of the 22. Infanterie-Division (LL).

By doing so he decisively aided in the completion of the assigned missions. Through his initiative he succeeded in delivering orders to all subordinated troop elements in a timely fashion despite the great difficulties encountered. He has furthermore demonstrated personal bravery in an outstanding fashion.”
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
