Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Werner Nadolski. Hauptmann Werner Nadolski (02.10.1908 in Königsberg † 08.11.1982 in Kaarst) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on December 31 1943 as Oberleutnant und Chef of the 3. Batterie/ Flak-Regiment 61.
Awarded for his outstanding contributions to the battles around Rostov, Krassnodar, Noworossisk, Izyum and Belgorord. Throughout these battles he became a specialist in using Flak in the AT defense role, destroying 15 enemy tanks with his Batterie around Belgorod alone. Here he would be badly wounded while sitting in the gunner’s seat. By the time of his award of the Knight’s Cross he had personally destroyed 19 enemy tanks.
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
