Original Postwar Signature on a Postwar Photo of Wolfgang "Wolf" von Malotki. Oberleutnant Wolfgang von Malotki (25.02.1921 in Danzig † 2002) earned the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on March 3, 1943 as Oberleutnant und Chef of the 3. Kompanie/ Grenadier-Regiment 45 of the 21. Infanterie-Division.
“Oberleutnant v. Malotki conducted a decisive counterthrust south of Lake Ladoga right as strong enemy forces were trying to roll up friendly positions after they had penetrated the line. He threw the Bolsheviks back at the head of a handful of Grenadiers and brought the main battle line back into friendly hands.”
Provenance: This signature comes from one of the largest postwar signature collection I’ve ever commissioned. This collection was started by a Waffen-SS Veteran, Werner H., in the 1950’s until he passed away.
