KVK2X Award Doc – Hauptmann – Luftgau Westfrankreich
Original WWII German award document for the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern, awarded to Hauptmann z.V. Karl Schöber, Kompanie-Chef Landesschützen-Kompanie 7/VII.
The certificate awards Schöber the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern in the name of the Führer und Obersten Befehlshaber der Wehrmacht.
Dated 15 April 1941, the document was issued by the Kommandierender General und Befehlshaber im Luftgau Westfrankreich and bears the original signature of Generalleutnant Dr. Eugen Weißmann, commander of Luftgau Westfrankreich at the time.
An attractive and historically interesting award document, connecting the recipient to Landesschützen-Kompanie 7/VII and the German Luftwaffe administration in occupied Western France.
Condition: Very good overall condition for an original wartime document, with light age-related staining, folds and handling marks. Some traces of previous red underlining are visible beneath the award designation. Please see photographs.
