Verleihungsbekanntmachung – Deutsches Kreuz in Gold (German Cross in Gold) – 12. SS “HJ” Normandy

Interesting original double-sided German award document from the Second World War, featuring extensive lists of decorated Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS personnel.

One side lists numerous servicemen by rank, name and unit, including notable entries such as SS-Obersturmführer Rudolf von Ribbentrop, SS-Obersturmbannführer Helmut Gaede, Generalleutnant August Wittmann and Generalmajor Rudolf Henrici.

The reverse is headed „Das Deutsche Kreuz in Gold wurde verliehen an“, listing recipients of the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold (German Cross in Gold), again accompanied by their military ranks and units.

An interesting reference document for collectors and researchers of German military awards, personnel and unit histories.
