Original Imperial German Besitz-Zeugnis für das Verwundetenabzeichen (Wound Badge Certificate), issued by the Königliches Bezirkskommando Neumünster during the final weeks of the First World War.

The certificate documents the award of the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz (Wound Badge in Black) for one wound sustained in service.

Issued to Wehrmann Ernst Tiedemann, born 1. November 1893, with Bargen recorded as his place of birth or residence.

Dated 1. November 1918, the document bears the original purple official stamp of the Königlich Preußisches Bezirkskommando Neumünster, together with the signature of the Oberst z. D. und Kommandeur des Landwehrbezirks Neumünster.

An attractive original First World War award document, featuring a distinctive black printed border and helmet-and-wreath motif. Its late-war date and identifiable recipient make it an appealing addition to a collection of Imperial German wound badges, award certificates and military history.

Condition

Age-related toning and light staining, with a pronounced horizontal fold across the centre, additional creasing and minor edge wear. Some faint handwritten annotations are present along the margins. The printed design, recipient details and official stamp remain intact.
