Consignment Information

All items submitted by the consignor must be authentic and unaltered. The consignor guarantees that items are genuine and have not been tampered with.

Upon sale, the consignor will receive payment minus the agreed consignment commission fee.

The consignment period is agreed in advance, with a minimum duration of 60 days. This period allows Wolfgang Historica sufficient time to market the item, including cataloging, photography, outreach to clients, and fulfillment upon sale.

Commission

A commission fee applies to all sold items. This fee is calculated as a percentage of the final sale price or, where agreed, as a fixed amount per item.

Indicative commission structure:

  • 20–25% on items with a sale value up to €500
  • 15–20% on items with a sale value between €500 and €2,500
  • 10–15% on items with a sale value between €2,500 and €10,000
  • 5–10% on items with a sale value above €10,000

The exact commission rate is determined based on the item, its marketability, and expected sale value, and is agreed upon in advance between the consignor and Wolfgang Historica.

All commission rates are applied to the final sale price.

Terms & Conditions

  • Currency: All transactions are conducted in euros (€). No foreign currency payments are accepted.
  • Payment Methods: Payments are made via cash, IBAN bank transfer, or PayPal.
  • Payout Schedule: Payments to consignors are processed once per month, within 14 to 31 days after the sale.
  • Early Withdrawal: Items withdrawn before the agreed consignment period are subject to a 10% handling and administration fee.
  • Post-Term Options: After the agreed consignment period, items may be returned to the consignor or remain listed for sale upon mutual agreement.
  • Image Rights: All photographs taken of consigned items may be used for commercial and promotional purposes.
  • Shipping: All items shipped to and from Wolfgang Historica are sent using tracked shipping services.
