Luftwaffe M43 Field Cap (Einheitsfeldmütze)

The cap is fitted with an original hand-stitched embroidered Luftwaffe officer-style eagle above the national cockade. The eagle has been individually sewn to the cap. The interior retains its original grey rayon lining with faint traces of an ink depot stamp still visible beneath the crown.
The cap remains complete with its original pebbled closure buttons and shows honest wartime wear, including light moth tracking and age-related use. Overall, it presents as an attractive, untouched example with excellent display appeal.

Belgian Resistance Armband – MNB (Mouvement National Belge / Belgische Nationale Beweging) – WWII

Constructed from green cloth, the armband features the stenciled initials “FI” with a centrally applied Belgian tricolor shield. It retains its original period ink stamps and issue markings, including a visible control stamp and the number “MP 584P4” (?). The reverse also bears additional official inspection stamps, confirming wartime issue.
Founded in March 1941, the Front de l’Indépendance united resistance members from diverse political and social backgrounds. Rare Original Signed Léon Degrelle Photograph – Walloon Legion Oath Ceremony – Dedicated to José Dohet, Brother of KIA Adjudant Camille Dohet (1941)

The image captures the famous Burgundy Cross (Croix de Bourgogne) Legion standard during the ceremony. According to published reference works on the 373rd Walloon Infantry Battalion, the flag is carried by Sergeant Kaison, accompanied on the right by Sergeant Jean Georges and on the left by Legionnaire Fauconnier. This exact photograph is published and identified in the standard history of the battalion, confirming both the event and the identities of the flag party.
The reverse bears a scarce handwritten dedication and signature by Léon Degrelle, dated 21 September 1941, reading:
“À José Dohet, de la part de son frère Léon Degrelle. Fait en campagne contre les Soviets. Le 21 septembre 1941.”
(“To José Dohet, from your brother Léon Degrelle. Written while on campaign against the Soviets. 21 September 1941.”)
The dedication was made to José Dohet, the brother of Adjudant Camille Dohet, who served as a Chef de peloton (Platoon Leader) in the 3rd Company of the 373rd Walloon Infantry Battalion. Camille Dohet was later killed in action at Gromovaja-Balka on 28 February 1942, making this a poignant wartime keepsake sent to his family while he was still serving on the Eastern Front.
This photograph therefore combines several highly desirable collecting aspects:

Soviet Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class – Numbered Award No. 439340 – Researched – Frisch-Nehrung 1945!

Established on 20 May 1942, the Order of the Patriotic War became one of the Soviet Union’s most important combat decorations of the Second World War. It was awarded to soldiers, NCOs, officers, partisans, and other military personnel who distinguished themselves through acts of courage, leadership, and battlefield achievement against German forces during the Great Patriotic War. The order existed in two classes, with the 2nd Class recognizing significant personal bravery and combat merit.
This particular decoration is especially desirable as it remains numbered and researchable, with accompanying archival documentation identifying the original recipient as:
Sergeant Sergei Petrovich Gordenko
338th Rifle Regiment, 96th Gomel Red Banner Rifle Division
According to the wartime award recommendation dated 11 May 1945, Sergeant Gordenko distinguished himself during the final offensive operations in Germany. During the assault on a fortified enemy position near the Frisch–Nehrung area, he was the first to attack enemy trenches and led his squad forward under fire. Overcoming determined German resistance, his unit broke into the enemy defensive line. During the action he personally eliminated enemy soldiers with hand grenades and contributed directly to the successful capture of the position.
For these actions he was recommended for and awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class, a decoration reserved for proven combat merit and personal courage in battle.

Olekhnovich was born in 1919/1921 in Bogodukhov, Kharkov region, Ukrainian SSR and was drafted via the Bogodukhov District Military Commissariat in late 1939. WWII Soviet “Victory over Germany” Award Booklet – Guards Recon Soldier (+ Research)

Filin served in the Red Army from 1942 and participated in combat from June 1942 onward. During the war he served as a gun platoon commander within the regiment’s artillery support elements and distinguished himself repeatedly in frontline combat.
Archival award research identifies him as a recipient of two Orders of the Red Star (Орден Красной Звезды) for bravery and leadership in combat.
His first Red Star was awarded for actions during the January 1945 offensive near Janów (Białystok region), where his platoon destroyed enemy artillery positions and transport vehicles while supporting cavalry assaults and advancing into East Prussia.
He later earned a second Red Star for actions in the final phase of the war during the Berlin campaign, including combat near Schwedt on 30 April 1945 and actions near Lake Ternov on 1 May 1945, where he led his platoon under heavy enemy fire and ensured effective artillery support.
The reverse inscription identifies the officer as Captain A. Y. Filin, indicating a postwar promotion. The portrait dates from approximately 1951.

WWII Wehrmacht Artillerie Officer Visor Cap
€795,00An attractive and original Wehrmacht (Heer) Artillerie Officer’s Schirmmütze, with the distinctive bright red (hochrot) Waffenfarbe denoting service with the Artillery branch. The cap displays the elegant appearance expected of privately purchased officer-quality headgear and retains excellent display appeal.
The cap features a high-quality feldgrau wool body with a dark bottle-green center band, beautifully highlighted by vivid red piping around both the crown and band. It retains its original aluminum Heer officer cap eagle, finely hand-embroidered silver bullion oak leaf wreath with metal officer cockade, silver officer chin cords, and black vulcanfiber visor. The buttons are sewn on with black thread (also used to sew on the sweat band in the middle at the back and the oak leaf wreath, this all looks period done so the extra thread might not have been cut back in the day).
The overall shape remains very attractive, with the typical saddle-form crown giving the cap excellent display characteristics. All insignia appear period-applied and match the cap well. The interior retains its original brown leather sweatband and silk lining.
Overall condition is very good, exhibiting only light age-related wear, with no significant moth damage observed to the exterior cloth. The colors remain strong, with particularly vibrant artillery piping that contrasts beautifully against the feldgrau body.
A highly desirable original Wehrmacht Heer officer’s visor cap from the Artillery branch, offering excellent display quality and representing one of the most recognizable pieces of German officer headgear from the Second World War.
Condition: Very good original condition with honest period wear. Interior shows use and age-related staining, with partial separation of the sweatband stitching. Please study the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
Luftwaffe Ritterkreuzträger Soldbuch Grouping to Major Theodor Rossiwall – Spanish Civil War Veteran, Fighter Ace & Knight’s Cross Holder
€3.750,00Exceptional and highly researchable original wartime Luftwaffe Soldbuch grouping belonging to Theodor Rossiwall (12 October 1915 – 11 July 1979), highly decorated Luftwaffe fighter ace, combat pilot, and recipient of the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes.
Rossiwall claimed a total of 19 aerial victories in over 400 combat missions, including 2 victories during the Spanish Civil War while serving with the famous Condor Legion. He is additionally associated with the aerial combat on 20 April 1941 during which RAF top ace Pat Marmaduke Pattle was shot down over Greece/Crete, with Rossiwall and Sophus Baagoe both credited with claims during the engagement.
Born in Vienna, Rossiwall originally joined the Austrian Air Force before being transferred into the Luftwaffe following the Anschluss in 1938. He later served with Jagdgruppe 88 during the Spanish Civil War, where he flew combat missions against Republican forces and achieved two confirmed aerial victories, including a Polikarpov I-16 near Reus on 20 December 1938.
On 1 July 1939, Rossiwall transferred to Zerstörergeschwader 26 (ZG 26). During the Second World War he served extensively as a Bf 110 Zerstörer pilot and Staffelkapitän, later commanding larger formations. Following the loss and capture of Eberhard von Trützschler-d’Elsa in May 1940, Rossiwall assumed command within 5./ZG 26 during the Western Campaign. During the Dunkirk operations of May 1940 he reportedly led aggressive fighter actions against RAF formations, earning a formidable reputation.
He later fought on the Eastern Front, where he claimed additional aerial victories, before commanding II./Nachtjagdgeschwader 4 from January 1942 onward, achieving further successes as a night fighter commander. By March 1943 he had been promoted to Major and later commanded elements of Nachtjagdgeschwader 101. In August 1943 he became commander of the newly reformed Zerstörergeschwader 76, an anti-bomber formation operating Bf 110 aircraft against Allied heavy bombers. During these operations he claimed several B-17 Flying Fortress bombers destroyed. Rossiwall survived the war and passed away on 11 July 1979.
This grouping contains Rossiwall’s first-issue Soldbuch, complete with his original portrait photograph pasted into the rear section of the document. The Soldbuch is extensively filled with wartime entries, unit stamps, leave entries, medical examinations, equipment issue records, and award entries. Since no further entries appear after late 1942, it is highly likely Rossiwall later received a second replacement Soldbuch for continued service.
The grouping additionally includes his original Militär-Flugzeugführerschein, wartime photographs, and accompanying related material.
